[OOo-Hebrew] Problem with font display

I've found that since version 2.4 (maybe 2.3), certain of my Hebrew
documents are showing Arabic numerals rather than the normal Roman numerals
we all use (e.g., "5" appears like a modified "v").

I have the same problem with 3.0 beta.

Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Incidentally, all these documents appear fine in MS Word.

I can send a document if anyone wants to see it.

Thanks,

This is the infamous bug #88601. It's solved in development for 2.4.1, and in
a branch that is yet to be merged into 3.0; 2.4.1 with a fix is due in June,
until then you may use the Hebrew 2.3.1 version (but it has some security
problems).

And BTW, the 'v' is 7, 5 looks like an 0; Roman numerals are the MMDIII type,
and the 2008 type are called Arabic numerals; the numerals you see (those
used in Arabic and related languages) are called Hindi numerals.

Have fun,
Shai.

reuven replied to me only, but I assume the message is intended for the list.
If you have problems reading Hebrew: I forgot to mention it, but there is an
extension for OpenOffice.org which fixes this bug in 2.4.0; google and ye
shall find.

הי,
יש לבאג זה הרחבה.
חפש בגוגל ותמצא. ההרחבה מתאימה גם לגירסה 2.4. בגירסה המוקדמת של 3.0
הבאג עדין מופיע.
ראובן
